West Indies captain Rovman Powell won the toss and opted to field first at the Kensington Oval in Barbados. USA faced an early setback as opener Steven Taylor was dismissed by Andre Russell in the second over.

Andries Gous (29) and Nitish Kumar (20) then formed a 48-run partnership, stabilizing the innings briefly. However, Kumar’s dismissal in the 7th over disrupted their momentum, and the USA was ultimately bowled out for 128 in the final over.
