T20 World Cup: “It will not be easy for Pakistan to beat India in T20 WC this time”- Shoaib Akhtar
In the latest media interview, the former speedster said that after the last 10-wicket win over India, the Men in Green need to be more cautious because India will come up with a proper plan now. He said that the Indian team would work harder to win this match. Akhtar added,
“India will come up with proper planning this time around. It will not be easy for Pakistan to beat India in the T20 WC this time.”
However, the pitches in Australia offer more pace and bounce to the bowlers, so that will be another challenge. Both teams have a good bunch of fast bowlers, so it will be interesting to see who will have the upper hand. Further, Akhtar said,
“Predicting match results now is quite difficult. But Pakistan should bowl second as the pitch in Melbourne offers bounce to fast bowlers.”
The 46-year-old also spoke about the fans on the ground. He said that the stadium crowd of around 1,00,000 is expected to watch the game live. So it will be a huge contest between the two with an even crowd. However, he also said that around 70,000 people will support India, so that will increase the pressure on Pakistan. Both teams have played a total of 13 games in the World Cup event. Pakistan won their first game in the last T20I World Cup in the UAE.
