Stubbs, 21, was South Africa’s best batsman in the T20 Challenge. And despite scoring only two runs in two innings for Mumbai after signing as a replacement, he is now in the T20I squad for their forthcoming tour to India. The two are among the 257 players who have signed up for the Hundred’s ‘wildcard’ draft for international players on Thursday, June 9.

Each of the eight teams will add a fourth overseas player to the roster they selected in April’s draft. Each of the ‘wildcard’ international players will get £50,000.

Teams will still be limited to three overseas players in their starting XI. But the ECB hopes that having a backup player in each squad will reduce the amount of disruption when players are absent due to international commitments or injury. The bulk of players that went unsold in the draft has entered the wildcard draft. While some have merely made themselves available as replacement players. Including Babar Azam, Shadab Khan, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, and David Warner. Free VIP betting tips and match guides from professional betting tipsters here on our site.

Brevis, Stubbs, and James Neesham are the three players who have been added since the draft. Qais Ahmad, Finn Allen, Shimron Hetmyer, Marnus Labuschagne, Evin Lewis, and Imran Tahir are among the players that went undrafted but were selected in the wildcard round.

However, certain players’ availability will be severely limited due to international obligations. Despite his current suspension from bowling, Pakistan seamer Mohammad Hasnain is a notable choice.

Replacement Of Players Due To Injury

In early July, after the T20 Blast group stages, each side will sign a domestic wildcard player for £30,000. Several teams are also looking for replacement players owing to injuries.

The Birmingham Phoenix has lined up Tom Helm to replace Matthew Fisher. While the Oval Invincibles and London Spirit are looking for replacements for injured Saqib Mahmood and Blake Cullen, respectively. A fourth foreign player will be signed as a wildcard for each women’s team, who will be paid £15,000.

Kim Garth, an allrounder from Ireland who is now attempting to qualify for Australia, is a notable presence on the women’s longlist.
