In 2021 England Cricket Board launched a new format known as The Hundred. On August 3, the second season will begin with the inaugural match of Southern Brave vs Welsh Fire. The Hundred is a new type of format where the matches are of 100 balls per side. A bowler can bowl a total of 20 deliveries, either a spell of five or ten deliveries.

Jemimah Rodrigues hits 92 (vs Welsh Fire)
Jemimah Rodrigues, an Indian middle-order batter, was picked up by the Northern Superchargers. Despite performing in The Hundred and WBBL, Jemi was dropped for the World Cup 2022.
The right-hander smashed three fifties in the seven matches for the Northern Superchargers. Her innings of 92 against the Welsh Fire was the highest score by any player in the tournament. She took just 43 deliveries and chased down the target for Superchargers with 15 balls left.
Invincibles won the final (vs Southern Brave)
Oval Invincibles was taking on the Southern Brave in the final of the first season of Women’s The Hundred. Invincibles posted a total of 121 in their 100 balls. Marrizzane Kapp took four wickets and played a little cameo with the bat, scoring 26. She was the one to take the final wicket and ensure the victory of Invincibles for the maiden The Hundred title.
Imran Tahir Hat-trick (vs Welsh Fire)
The 43-year-old Tahir is still doing wonders with his leg spin. Tahir, while playing for Birmingham Phoenix took a five-wicket haul against the Welsh Fire.
In his five wickets, he took a hat-trick and recorded 5-25 as his bowling figures. His hat-trick came in his last spell and includes the wickets of Qais Ahmed, Matt Milnes, and David Payne.
Liam Livingstone hits 6 to qualify for the final (vs Northern Superchargers)
The English mighty Batter Liam Livingstone, who is known for his ability to hit big sixes, ensured the final spot for his team. Northern Superchargers posted a total of 143 in their 100 balls.
Finn Allen and Liam Livingstone made a partnership and smashed the Northern Superchargers. Liam scored 92 off just 40 deliveries with ten sixes. He finished the chase with a six, with 25 deliveries spare, and led from the front to the finals.
Tim David runs out Livingstone in the final (vs Birmingham Phoenix)

After a slow start, both the openers of the Phoenix were in the dugout as they got out on duck. Moeen Ali anchored the innings with Livingstone smashing the Southern Brave striking 242. Livingstone was at 46 off just 19 deliveries when Tim David stunned everyone with his direct hit, which got Liam. With Liam’s dismissal, Southern Brave knew they are closer to winning the game now.
Southern Brave won the final by 32 runs and became the champions of the inaugural season of The Hundred. The opening match of The Hundred’s second season is just a few days away. The first match will take place on August 3, with the final on September 3.
