The second Test between India and England is currently being played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. Opting to bat, led by Rohit Sharma’s magnificent hundred, the hosts put up a strong show with the bat, scoring a solid 329 in their first inning. Considering the pitch, this was a massive score. And it proved true as England were bowled out for a mere 134 in their first inning.

While there was not much to talk for England in the match, they created a unique distinction. England broke a 66 year record of not conceding a single extra in an innings. The visitors used as many 6 bowlers and every one of them did a decent job by not conceding an extra run. 4rabet app download for android.

Coincidently, the previous record was held by India where they conceded 328 without giving an extra against Pakistan in Lahore in the year 1955.

India is bossing the game at the end of Day 2. Chasing India’s first inning score of 329, England were bowled out for a mere 134, handing India a massive lead of 195. Ravi Ashwin was the star of Indian bowling and picked up his 29th 5 wicket hall. Axar Patel and Ishant Sharma also chipped in with a couple of wickets.

The ball is turning square and India’s lead is nearing 250. India would look to bat another two sessions and add 150 runs to their score. That would mean that England would be chasing a target of around 400 which is a mammoth task on this surface. Earlier, it was a magnificent hundred from Rohit Sharma that helped India post a solid total of 329. Sharma was well supported by Ajinkya Rahane and Rishabh Pant who fetched themselves impressive half centuries.
