India held on to their No 1 spot in the annual update of the ICC team rankings, released on Thursday. India gained one rating point for an aggregate of 121 points. India’s 2-1 win over Australia and 3-1 over England have helped to retain their top spot while New Zealand’s (120) 2-0 series wins over West Indies and Pakistan narrowed the gap between them and the table toppers.
