It is time for another blockbuster season of the Indian Premier League to get underway. The 17th edition of the tournament will kick off in a couple of weeks. The opening encounter will feature a high-voltage clash between the defending champion Chennai Super Kings and the Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai. MS Dhoni and his men, who won the last season, will look to defend their title and add another trophy to their cabinet.

For that, the franchise has set up a camp in Chennai, and almost all the players have already started their preparation for the coming season. Skipper MS Dhoni also reached his den a couple of days ago and was seen in action on Thursday. He was seen doing some power-hitting drills and treating fans to some eye-catching shots.

Dhoni also hit a no-look six, which caught the attention of the fans on social media. Notably, the CSK skipper was nursing a knee injury last season, which is why he was seen in a different role. He used to bat in the final overs, and it was pretty successful. After the last season, he underwent surgery and has completely recovered from it.

A couple of days ago, MS Dhoni took to his Twitter (now X) account and tweeted that he would be in a new role in the coming season. Though he didn’t say anything, fans are still amused at the role he was taking on. Meanwhile, at 42 years old, this could be the final time we see Dhoni play in the IPL season. That is why CSK will like to win yet another trophy under him.
