However, the former skipper was the leading run-scorer in the T20 World Cup in Australia. He scored a total of 296 runs in just six innings, which included four half-centuries. Despite his current form in the shorter format, India hasn’t picked him or skipper Rohit Sharma in the T20Is. Watch: Rahul Dravid gave a stunning reply to a journalist when asked about Virat Kohli in T20Is

The former Indian skipper has been in decent form in ODIs as well and has scored two centuries in five ODIs this year. However, it is unclear whether he will be named to India’s T20I squad for any future matches. That’s what a journalist asked the Indian head coach Rahul Dravid in the post-match press conference ahead of the third and final ODI in Indore.
However, Dravid stopped him in between and gave a good reply. The journalist asked, “Till last year, Virat’s position in the T20I team was in question…” Dravid stopped him and said, “Not by us sir. Not at all, never by us!”
Furthermore, he added that they have set some priorities for the future and want these players to play in those important tournaments and series. He stated that the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy is crucial for them because it could give them a chance to compete in the World Test Championship final. Dravid added
“As you’ve seen, Virat has played all these six games. He’ll get a bit of a break along with Rohit. And they come refreshed on the 2nd and we have a good week’s camp before we play Australia. So yeah it’s just priorities. We have to prioritise certain formats.” India has already won the ongoing series with wins in the first two games. They will lock horns with the Black Caps in the third and final game, which will kick off on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in Indore.
