September 19, 2007, is a memorable date not only for Indian fans but for fans worldwide. It’s been 15 years since that incredible moment. But that can still give you the goosebumps when you watch the highlight of that knock. However, the man who did that carnage relished that moment once again with a special partner. And his partner was none other than his nine-month old son, Orion Keech Singh. Yuvi hung his boots in 2019 and retired from all forms of cricket. But his career was full of some incredible moments and achievements. He was one of the reasons for India’s glory in the 2007 WT20 and 2011 ODI WC.
Yuvraj Singh and his son watching the Iconic over of six sixes in 2007 WT20
The 40-year-old shared a video on his Twitter account, in which he was seen watching the iconic over, where he hit six sixes off Stuart Broad, with his son sitting on his lap. He shared the video with the caption, “Couldn’t have found a better partner to watch this together with after 15 years.”
India won the inaugural T20 World Cup in 2007 under the leadership of MS Dhoni. That victory was one of the few moments in Indian cricket. After an early exit from the 2007 ODI World Cup, not many gave India a chance in the 2007 WT20. That’s why Dhoni was sent with a totally young team. However, it turned out to be an unexpected moment and India became the inaugural champions.
The 40-year-old is currently playing in the ongoing Road Safety World Series for India Legends, under the leadership of Sachin Tendulkar. Speaking of his T20 international career, Yuvraj has represented India in 58 games and scored 1177 runs, including 8 half-centuries. He has also picked up 28 wickets at a decent economy of 7.06.
