The right-hander was ruled out of the five-match T20 International series against South Africa and was in doubt for the rescheduled Test against England. Later, the BCCI confirmed that Rahul will have groin surgery in Germany. He was unable to participate in the white ball series too, against England due to his surgery and rehabilitation.

Rahul is recovering at the National Cricket Academy. Subject to his recovery, he was picked to the squad for the T20I series against the Windies. He appeared to be in good shape, but the opener was caught by Covid-19 and is still at NCA, recovering.

The Indian side will play five T2Is  beginning on July 29. Three of the five matches will take place in St Kitts, with the other two in Florida.

Because KL is suffering from Covid, he may miss the T20I series and will have to wait for his return to the team. He was scheduled to travel West Indies later this week.

With Ishan Kishan, in form Deepak Hooda and Sanju Samson sitting out, they will have opportunities to open with Rohit in the series in Rahul’s absence.

Kuldeep is also recovering with Rahul at NCA

Kuldeep had been recovering at NCA from a hairline fracture in his right wrist, which had forced him to miss the South Africa T20Is. He was not able to participate in the white-ball tours of Ireland and England due to the injury. Rahul and Kuldeep both participated in the IPL, but they haven’t been a part of the Indian team since.

Both Indian stars enjoyed successful IPL seasons for their respective teams. Kuldeep had 21 wickets in 14 games, while Rahul had 616 runs in 15 games, including two hundred. Stay tuned for our 100% FREE cricket tips and match guides from our professional betting tipsters.

Kuldeep Yadav has recovered from a hand injury and has given the green signal to perform the final fitness test. The selection committee is expected to make a final decision on his participation as soon as possible.

Rahul’s participation in the series is unlikely, but if he recovers in 4-5 days, he will be ready to join the squad before the first T20I. Kuldeep is expected to take a fitness test, and if he passes, he will participate in the T20I series.
