Mumbai Indians’ all-rounder Amelia Kerr applauded the captain Harmanpreet Kaur for leading her team from the front in the inaugural edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL). She also won the award for the Player of the Match against Gujarat Giants (GG) on Tuesday, March 15 after they won by 55 runs as well.

“You can tell when she walks in the changing room, all the young girls idolise her. She has got a very calm way and builds confidence in your game. She is open to different suggestions and has led from the front. She gives you the confidence that you can achieve anything,” she again shared.
Amelia Kerr’s happiness also knew no bounds after Mumbai Indians’ stunning performance in the tournament. She said:
“It’s special to be a part of the Mumbai Indians. Having five wins on the board is outstanding. There will be challenges along the way, but to have five wins is pleasing and I think the people we have in our team are full of energy and they love cricket.”
However, after advancing to the playoffs, Mumbai Indians will be looking to seal their place in the top spot and make their way through to the final as well. Mumbai’s next game will be against Alyssa Healy’s UP Warriorz on Saturday, March 18 at Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Mumbai as well.
