The WPL has reached its halfway point and now RCB is the only team in the tournament that is yet to win a game. Ideally, after 5 consecutive defeats, the team’s chances to qualify for the playoffs for the finish but RCB can still make it to the top 3. Since WPL only has 5 teams, the teams that will be in the first position will directly be the finalists while the other two will have to play an eliminator.

Amongst all the 5 games that RCB played so far in the WPL, the game versus Delhi Capitals yesterday was their best one. Playing at D.Y Patil stadium, RCB was put to bat first. After the game, RCB captain Smriti Mandhana said, “Really good effort by our bowlers to take it till the 20th over. Definitely a lot of improvements but a lot of things to work on still. The partnership got us into the game, they both batted brilliantly. They used their experience to get us to a defendable total. Not the best of the starts, including my batting. The first 14 overs really hurt us, even 10-15 runs more would have helped. Towards the fag-end of the tournament, the wickets are going to get slower. Even in the last game, spinners got the ball to turn and pace-off and slower balls were working.” Nonetheless, despite all these with the help of little luck and a couple of wins, RCB can make it to the top 3.

- RCB will have to win all their remaining games against UP Warriorz, Gujarat Giants, and Mumbai Indians.
- Gujarat Giants and UP Warriorz will have to lose against Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals.
- UP Warriorz is to lose against Gujarat Giants in the game to be played on March 20th.
